Our company is seeking a Project Engineering Manager at our office in Long Island City, NY

Job Duties: Manage day to day operational aspects of construction projects using our systems and scope. Analyze research data and propose product specifications to determine feasibility of product proposal; Interact with architects, fabricators, construction managers to provide information regarding applicable products and systems, effectively communicate project requirements, procedures to the involved parties using presentations and job site visits. Identify the resources needed and assign individual responsibilities towards the completion of the project. Calculate technical requirements for aluminum profile projects and determine material lists and labor requirements using various engineering tools; prepare part lists and bill of materials for specific projects in collaboration with engineering staff and place orders. Provide Tender and Shop Drawings to support before- and after- sales activities; Track project deliveries and set deadlines, identify and resolve problems. Oversee development of newer systems and improve existing systems for the United States market.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Masters degree or equivalent degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related, plus one (1) year experience in the job offered, as an Engineer, Architect or related position, OR in the alternative a Bachelors degree or equivalent degree in Engineering or related, plus five (5) years experience in the job offered, as an Engineer, Architect, or related position.

Special Requirements: Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience. Applicants must also possess one year of experience, which may be gained concurrently, in the following:

1. 1 year experience with CAD software;

2. Demonstrated ability to produce shop drawings;

3. Demonstrated knowledge of aluminum extrusion processes and systems; and

4. Demonstrated ability to write technical reports and procedure manuals.
